I search the threads and couldn't find anything on how to take out an ashtray. I'm replacing my ashtray with a wood one. Is it hard to install the ashtray. Wood love to install this wood myself, but I don't want to tear up my interior doing it.

 

open it up and grab it and pull it towards you or you could take a screw driver and pry a little between the radio and ash tray

 

open ashtray gently grab both sides of the ashtray and gently pull it towards you and it should come out. To install you just need to line up the clips behind the ashtray and push it in and it should stay in place.

 

It's a little easier to do if you place the car in Neutral (Engage the parking brake). It gives you a little more room... and just like the said... Open it and pull gently. It should just come right out. But before pulling it all the way.. make sure you un-clip the power source for the ashtray.

 

lol, this reminded me, my little 6 year old nephew pulled mine out on accident and I was like..wth..so THAT"S how its done...
