A proper retro fit will far outperform the factory hids for our cars. Period.

Quote: Why don't you just go on sewell parts and order an original H.I.D. kit. There is nothing like OEM. I read so many things on CL. Like every day. I see so many pics and I always come to the same conclusion. I respect EVERY BODYS decisions with their cars no doubt but I think ppl are going overboard with all this customization stuff. Lexus is a luxury well engineered car. Just leave it the way it is. Then again that's just my opinion. I do think some of the "VIP" cars I See are hot but all this dropping and this and that is stupid. Moral of the story is my friend if you want that original light you expect get the OEM HID kit.
OEM ballast are durable as fuuh. OEM are pretty much better than most brands out there.

Yup, I had OEM HID and they were kinda bright, but then I retrofitted and now I can see things beyond whats in front of me.

you guys using DDM hid kits for your low beams and high beams are you using 55w kits or 35w. i want to put 55w kits on my high and low beams and a 35w kit for my fogs but i dont want to melt my housings. I have an 04 GS300 if that helps. I have DDM hid kits installed in my F-150 for headlights and fog lights and they are 55w and no melting so far and ive had the kit on for 3 years now.

35w both top and bottom

no need for the too bright 55w, i heard it does melt your housing (from the guys from DDM themselves)
