I opted to not utilize the provided resistors. I've read about how hot they get and that worried me. I had previously blacked out the taillight indicator bulb on my dash with a little piece of electrical tape. Quick, easy fix.

I got these on my car last week. Screw the resistors, just pull out your gauge cluster and remove the warning bulb. The whole point of going LED is to reduce some load on the electrical system, why the heck are you going to add massive power robbing resistors back into the circuit? lol

The resistor pack they come with is optional, you don't have to plug it in. It does not affect the light output.
