I mentioned to him I'm only getting a horrific 12 miles to a gallon also.. So , he got to the engine and the valves yesterday, I gotta call about 4 hours later from the service manager telling me I also have 2 BAD injecters.. That describes my horrible gas mileage, he told me whoever owned this car before me definetly took care of it because my engine is as clean as an engine can get, no sludge or anything. To have my 2 injecters replaced, valves adjusted, my car will have absolutely no tick or noise and run like a champion, it will cost $1550, I told them to get it done and fix it, because I plan on keeping this car for many more years, hell, it only has 120k on it.. It would only get progressively worse over time, and I figured well, if I have the money now, I mells well get my baby fixed, so hopefully tomorrow I pick her up... I figured it was wise to get this done now, so I have absolutely no worries about my car and everything maintenance wise will finally be done and I will have peace of mind, to save my car for $1500 and to get it running like new, I figured it's kind of a blessing..... Btw I gotta 2012 is250 awd for a loaner, those of you maybe wondering about this car, the injecters are pretty loud on this car.. Any questions I'll be glad to answer! Peace!

Hello here 😉
I know it's old one,but hopefully the owner still here..

Yep, I put the car together yesterday. No coolant leaks anymore , but this tapping ,ticking sound still there. So rhythmic...
Car runs so well ,but still don't know what to do next ( I know what I'm doing next ,but getting loosing the hope)
Try doing an oil change with engine flush too ,than i bought a stethoscope today on ebay for listening the source of this noise. Than maybe take off the valve cover and measuring the valve clearances (maybe need your expertise for this how to do and what's the correct size ) . If something not right here I'll have a compression tester kit too , so maybe I'll have a check on this too..
If the injector ****e can i swap with one of the other side on the fuel rail ?

First off, are all the injectors the same color. I saw a video about a POS Ford or Chevy that the owner had actually installed the wrong injectors in two or three cylinders. Yes, injectors can be moved around. But don't do it without a new O Ring kit. Even my dealer said they don't like messing around with them because of leaks afterwards.

How many miles do you have again? What kind of milage do you get? No CEL?

And if you get down to having to do a valve adjustment, I have all of the shim specs from the service manual. Be more than happy to help out. 😁👍

No links. I just run into a question or get curious about something and start looking. I love "Just Rolled In" channel to see the absolute INSANE 💩 people do to their cars. 🤣 But I have every confidence that you will figure this out.

Is that video your 430 or is it just the sounds? That definitely sounds like valves. But you know we have shims and not lifters.
