Will post a review once I have installed it.

I bought a second ECU, just in case I screw this one up.

I got a 99 GS3.

Yeah you can find them cheaper in the UK or Germany.

Before installing, I adjusted the potmeter:

3.2 kOhm, instead of 4.62 kOhm (stock, 560 ECU)

I wonder if someone with the L-Tuned ECU can shoot a picture of the internals. Like a really high res shot. Maybe we can compare the different resistor values inside the boards. I can snap some pix of mine from my 2002 SportDesign and the 2005 GS300. Then we can compare it to the L-Tuned. If it's just a simple resistor difference, then we can just all drop in the resistor value of the L-Tuned ECU.

Just for your info, 3.2 ohm is too low. Steering is underpowered and needs quite some effort. Need to tweak the adjustment a bit.

any update on this?

let's get the color codes of the resistors in the l-tuned and the 2 that jeff had and figure this one out. the steering ecu looks like a pretty simple design actually, and probably want to change out the 2 electrolytic caps while we're at it since they might have drifted in value over the years.

sakataj: did you get a chance to shoot pics of the internals of the l-tuned ecu?
