Default Replacing turn signal switch?

So on my 99 gs400, the turn signal switch is loose. For example, if I turn my fogs on, since the whole switch is loose, it turns off while driving and I have to push it to get it to come on again.
Now I was thinking I probably have to replace this, but my questions is
A. Do I actually have to replace it or is there a fix?
B. Any way I can do it myself? Like a DIY?
