Woooohoooo! I dropped my car off at the dealer and mentioned the multiple rattle TBS's and they are taking care of it. Another reason why CL is the best board on the planet!!!

YEP. Lexus is taking care of them via warranty work because they both have multiple TSB's. Mark rocks!

If your car is not under warranty, I am not sure they will cover it. Not sure tho....

Default TSBs

Synergy,

I am registered with AllData for both the 98GS and the 99LX. It costs about $30 for the first and $15 for each additional, worth the $$$ IMHO. I'm sure all you CL members that talk about only putting "quality" stuff on your vehicles [and rag endlessly on those that don't] wouldn't skimp on a well spent $30, would you?

I have talked to other CL members and many seem to have the same sun roof issue. I was cruising with RMMGS4 and REDGS4 today and it looks as if it has something to do with the plastic lining around the glass...
Well! I have the same creaking noise on my GS300 sunroof. My friends at Serramonte Lexus fix that problem for me (cover by the warranty). He told me those happen to most Lexus. Most of the time is cause by the sun (heat), it melt the plastic installation around the sunroof. All they did was re-fill the installation; nine-month’s later still had no creaking noise.
Look’s like I will see you at the Northern California 9/14, I know that crazy RMMGS4. hahaha

i too have been having this problem after checking the alldata post i called my dealer and asked them to fix it and they said i have to call Lexus and see if my car will be covered under the TSB, even though I told them I had the info right in front of me. oh well i hate lexus of rockville, those cali dealers seem much better at helping the customer out then the ones I've dealt with in Maryland.

on the phone with a lexus customer rep. she is telling me the car currently needs to be under warranty to have the fixes done free of charge. I had to call the dealer again and now they are saying that things that involve trims and panels may not be covered under the warranty. i'm going in on thrusday i'll let you guys know how it goes.
