Engine and body wise there is no difference. The only differences are the badges on the outside, '03 SD had charcoal housing headlights and a lip spoiler on trunk, the SD has stiffer shocks for better handling, the SD have certain pieces in the interior which are quite sought after, and they came in the Graphite Pearl color which was not available on a non-SD. Mostly it's just a cosmetic package that makes the car look sharper on the inside, and the only performance difference VS a normal GS is that it has the stiffer shocks.

from what i've read different power steering ECU as well, I can't recall but my SD steering does seem a little stiffer then my last two GS's..

Graphite Pearl = Winning!
