Default reliability differences for gs300/430?

i know the gs300 is mostly trouble free but i have never had experience with the V8s and im looking to get one. are there any major problems with the 430s? im looking to get one with no more than 70k to 80k on the clock. once it hits 90k, i'll do the tune up. just wanted to know if there's anything i should look out for.

Just get one that has already had the 90k mile major maintenance done. All these cars are reliable with a few things here and there.

Very hard to break the Toyota v8s (400 and 430). I wouldn't worry about reliability as long as there are service records on the vehicle. With regular maintenance I would expect 250 to 300K minimum out of the engine before a rebuild

When in doubt, pay for a compression test
