Go black, high heat ceramic and clear coat to minimize the chipping.. it actually holds up pretty well. In my opinion, red only looks good if there actual BBK's but that's just me. having those open rims wont help the "stock" rust/dis-colored metal look either. Went thru the same thing with my brakes- had slapped on five star chrome, gotta good look at those stock brakes and they looked like garbage. I didn't have $3000 at the time to blow on BBK's like some people on here think everyone can afford, so I painted mine black.

The unofficial rule of thumb here is paint stock calipers black or silver.
For a history lesson Porsche originally painted their brakes red and they were nicknamed "Big reds" to indicate the optional big brake kit. I think this was in the late 1980s....
When they introduced Ceramic brakes, they chose yellow to signify the difference.
Lexus F-sport uses blue.
