I also peeled the carpet back as much as I could and didnt feel anything going down under the car as the picture describes... These pics are for an 03 gs300, right?
Any thoughts? Much appreciated.
Only the V8's have a sensor under both seats. You are looking at the wrong pic. FrankT's pic is from a V8. Look/Read at the link I provided you above.

Awesome, that was much easier to find and change. This has solved my P0037 problem...

For what its worth - if you use a universal 02 sensor replacement (id recommend NOT, spend the extra $40 and get exact fit) and cut off the wires before the connection clip instead of after - the wire mapping is as shown below
White goes to Blue
Grey goes to Black
Black with red goes to Black
Brown goes to white
So for the color code chart in your instructions you will use the colors on the right side (black black blue white) and map them to the universal sensor. Probably wont make any sense at all unless you do what I did, but hope it helps someone sometime!

I fixed mine by replacing bank 1 sensor 2. No more xmass lights :-) let's see if fuel milage increases. I bought bosche sensor for 110$ at auto zone.

Hi, so the pictures are for a GS300 2003 give or take a year? So Bank 1 sensor 2 is on which side? driver side or passenger and is it underneath connected to manifold? It doesn't go inside the cabin and I don't have to pull any rugs correct? sorry for the machine gun questions
