I bought a 1998 gs300 without a motor in it.The guy i bought it from told me that he bought the car from an impound with a blow motor and he took out the motor and didnt have the time or money to put the car back together.So i bought the car from him got the motor from a friend of mine that owns a juckyard and saw the motor running before he took it out.I put the motor in my car hooked everything up rite and double checked everything.When i get into my car i noticed i didnt have a security light on or checkengine light.So i tryied turning the car on like that and nothing happend so i left the switch on and took a cable from the battery to the starter to see if it would attleast start but the motor spun but didnt start.someone told me that the problem could be with the key that wasent programed so i call a guy who owns a locksmith and works for all dealers.I got him to re-flash the computer and try to program a new key but the car still wasent getting a security light and he told me till that light dosent turn on the car wont start.I need help please dont know what it could it be.
