Help: 2000 GS300 getting a replacement key in South Jersey
One of my two 2000 Lexus GS300 keys broke. The transponder still works. I would appreciate if anyone can provide any feedback or suggestions on getting the a replacement key. I have the key code. I am located in Mt. Laurel, NJ area.
My research so far:
Option 1: The Cherry Hill dealer in south jersey wants $120+ for a new cut key.
Option 2: I am thinking about buying a blank key from internet and have it cut. I contact several local locksmith and nobody will cut the lexus key. I then called the local dealer and want to find out how much it would cost to have the uncut key cut. The dealer told me that certain metal unsed by the internet company for the uncut key will break their machine and they can't cut those keys. In addition, he can't tell me how much it will cost until I show them the key. * Appreciate if anyone can suggest any success with blank key purchased from ebay/internet and have it successful cut at dealer. Or any local lock smith in Mt. Laurel/Cherry Hill area that will cut Lexus keys.

I had this same problem and found a place on ebay (it was a lexus dealer in Miami actually) that sell the key AND cuts it for $30 shipped!! I jumped on the deal and mine will be arriving tomorrow. FREE SHIPPING. And they cut it all fotr $30. You just have to give them your vin #. Let me know if youre interested and ill give you their contact info... this goes to all other clublexus members also

I got one off Ebay for cheap. I think it was by "mykeyless" or something like that. Great service. Sent quick. Local locksmith cut it for me. It was quick and painless.
