I have noticed a lot of negative remarks about curtains and fusas. Things normally respected by the VIP community why all of a sudden is everyone bashing these things? Is it because others are also adding them which you respect less thus making them less desireable to have. Kinda like you were in a nice neighborhood but then others that you didn't desire to be associated with moved in so you moved out and then bashed the neighborhood and the people who lived in it. Is that what is going on here?

wow, nice analogy! very true. It goes along with 'stop the copy' (a little) people want to be exclusive with certain things and yea like you said once every one has them...

I have similar thoughts with seeing the same ol' work wheels or walds on our GS's cause EVERYone has them... sure the look good, but gets kinda old, but I will never bash them, I'll just get shoes that noone else wears, get bashed for it, but be the only one

agree'd. I dont understand why its gettin bashed on. Fusas and kintuna are suppose to mean Luck and Protection..now people are bashing about it just because other people are rockin the same thing. Keep the history alive and dont bash on things just because others have the same accessories -_-"

I sure believe curtains have derived from the VIP scene, however I believe any and all styles can be adopted to any other style, whether or not people like them is not the question, however yes there are limits hey, if ideas werent adopted, then new scenes wouldnt arise and we'd all be the same thing.

as for the VIP scene dying, nope. Just found out that theres a major VIP show or what not being done on the upper east coast which apparently is the first one ever for the states The style has been around in the states, but the true lifestyle hasnt (according to what I've read) so guess we'll see what happens when that comes around...

actually I think the bashing of the ropes are being done without explanation, unless yea it falls under the precedence of what we're speaking of. I've heard quite a few true believers stating that the ropes are of like what you said and that they're just being used with no purpose other than for the 'styling'. I'll admit, I didnt know of their religious back grounds, however when and if I were to go that route, I would definitely respect what they are and now would have much more meaning than just an ornament for my car I'd be able to spread the Love of its meaning as well

My change of heart on the curtains, fusa, tables etc...is this. I feel (my own opinion) that its the new rice mod. Many...not all, people that buy the Lexus now will make that their first purchase because its "VIP". The curtains and fusas are NOT a huge part of the VIP culture in Japan. Most of the cars featured in VIPCAR and VIPSTYLE are not running Fusas or Curtains (my mag collection dates back to the 90's). Its just popular here in the US because Junction Produce was one of the first companies to bring their market here to the US (thanks to JunctionGS). Now I've been following the VIP movement before it was popular here in the US, and people used to clown on the stretched tires, fitment and chrome handles. Now times have changed and now many people do it (which I love btw) The fitment of the cars is incredible, many on this board have excellent fitment. With the changing of times, my liking of the curtains and FUSA has changed...

some people are retarded... curtains aren't just for vip. Everyone here in japan has it on all different types of cars. It's mainly to block out the sun and not get tanned because they like being white! lol..I'm dead serious though.

the rear window not the rear view (although i'd do that too) what brand are your's and do you have a pic or link to one?

the rear door window or the rear view window? My side window curtains go all the way back. As for the rear one, I once saw them for our cars and lost the link where I did but they do exist Saw them on a Maserati too looked sweet draped to the sides [/QUOTE]

that's the misconception here in the states...that curtains are "VIP". Is raccoon eyes still popular in Japan?

Vip or not I like the curtains.. I mean by me Im the only person with curtains and some people hate but I dont care.. Its funny when I drive around with my windows down and people stare at me and ask"hey you got curtains in there?" Its pretty funny.. I had curtains 2 years ago in my accord. LOL
Plus I put them to use in the back seat

I dunno what's the big deal.Junction, Garson, Belleza (sp) items adds a nice touch to anybody interior. I think people hate either cuz they can't afford, or think too many people have it. I think the only think would bother me is that people don't know the background of the items that they purchase.
I want to get curtains, fusa and kintuna but I want a certain color (just want to be different) and then have my priest bless them.
Before I bought my car, I made my bootleg version of them. I know they're not junction produce stuff (hence the word...bootleg)
