another DIY chrome grill
I attempted the chrome grill project with some paint stripper I had laying around, it worked pretty good, I ordered my TTE grill already so I didnt exactly take my precious time but all in all it turned out pretty good. Thanks for the tips.
Looks great! I have seen a few of these done, but I am curious about something. If you have gold emblems is it gold chrome underneath of the painted grill, and vise versa if you have reg. chrome??? I have reg. chrome (silver), and this looks good, but I don't want a gold grill afterwards
dont quote me on this but i highly doubt that with gold emblems that there is a gold grill underneath, this would require the grill being gold plated then being painted over, so I doubt that they would do that, if there is some rock chips on the grill you can look and see what is underneath
That link is what had me thinking that
I found it hard to believe as well! Looks like I'm off to home depot tomorrow
