Wow, I love build threads and this was well documented from the beginning to "almost" end. Great looking build and I am sure it sounds awesome.

hmm...if this is my car i probably just do the conversion and do a regular dvd with navi instead..

newer oem navi ecu
datasystem video bypass
nav tool video inteface

for these 4 items isn't all come out to the same as a double din navi deck such as alpine 900?

i think it will be easier to used too..

unless you actually use your cassette.

it does...although im already re-working it.its in the shop as we speak. i think im gonna remake the top of the amp racks to have Plexiglas and LEDS around the plexi and probably make it one piece (although i will have to put some small axial fans underneath the Plexiglas to move air across the amps), the installer said the top piece was 2 pieces due to it not being able to fit into the trunk as a whole....not sure bout the bottom piece,he said he though it was a whole section (i said nah its got a seem in it). i think when i redo this trunk i will make it suede or something along those lines....im already thinking of "glassing" the sides. ashtray is ALMOST finished, is been smoothed in on the sides and fronts and just needs to be painted now

um you couldnt do that, you need something to in-cooperate the audio to nav of the touch screen (the alpine hub does this) unless u meant to pull the nav screen and convert to non-nav. yes that would have been easier but i didnt know i could do this till halfway into the build so it was to late by then

yeah that is what i mean just pull that piece and buy the non navi ac and jdm panel.

i wish there is a cleaner way to do it on my ls430 not liking my vais adaptor on the oem screen wish it is aftermarket double din

Great job with the patience on the build. I havn't done an audio build in years. They take time and lots of $ to do right. So, with all the dynomat, and equipment do you think its like 200lbs heavier? But yeah, great job.

 

i run this....she runs nothing. lol....yeah im serious. i make the majority of the $ and i have no kids so i can easily get away with spending the $

i would have done this had i known i coulda before i was in the middle of my build

Check with a local race track (drag, road, whatever) to see if they have a scale.
