paint chips
So I just picked up a '01 GS 300 and it has quite a few miles on it 174K and change. There are a lot of small paint chips on the hood and A pillar, my question is, what's the best way to get these repaired? Some are pretty deep and I can feel metal underneath them. I live in IL so we salt the roads heavily, so I don't want these to rust. Pics below
Depend on how much you wanna spend and if you want to do it yourself
Options
1) get a Lexus touchup paint pen/brush
2) dr.colorchip
3) simply apply nail polish over the chips (doesn't make it look better but protects against rust)

I would prefer to not spend anything, but honestly, I don't really have a realistic number in mind. The Dr. colorchip stuff sounds promising on thier website, but is it really any better than dealer touch up pain plus a small amount of clearcoat?
Hopefully I don't have to go the nailpolish route, but if I funds aren't available, that might be a good option for winter.
Any other thoughts?

You could try the touch-up paint route but try with a match stick instead of the brush. Brush holds too much paint for small chips. The paint may not match exactly since the car has faded. If you don't want to see little dots over your hood then you need to spray the whole thing.
