Technically it's all still illegal. I think a hidden flush mounted side marker would be cool, but still not legal unless there is an amber reflector visible. The question is if you think you can get away with it in your area or not.

 

I'm glad we don't have inspections up here. I had my sidemarkers filled in when I was getting the bumper repaired and repainted anyway a year ago. Nobody has hassled me about it, but I don't think they look for illegal mods here like some places.

Do the smoked ebay ones light up orange?

I personally like the look of the sidemarkers and the smoked ones look good on a black car. I would still fail inspection if I had the smoked ones just like I did with the clear ones. DMV states that the lens has to be amber and not just the bulb itself.

 

I like that smoked turn signal light. I just bought one. I planning on getting the smoked LED tail lights too. The red/smoked ones where the smoked part replaces the usual clear part, not the entire clear smoked ones.

 

side markers are illegal in my country plus i hate them so i had to remove them when i bought american body kit for my car as i know they are not a big deal like loud mufflers and lowering
but its diffrenet in USA so my info isnt usefull at all heh.
but if you want my advice (remove them) coz they are ugly

 

Did they make bumpers without the markers'? My car does not have them...
