valve cover gaskets
does anyone have pictures of where the valve cover gaskets are? my engine (1999 gs300) is leaking oil and from my searches that's one possible culprit. i hope it's not the head gasket....
thanks.
thanks.
If you had a bad head gasket, you'd have coolant mixing into the oil which makes a milkshake looking substance. Plus your exhaust would smell sweet, and your car would be blowing white smoke out of the pipes.
Get a big piece of cardboard and put it under the engine bay overnight. It could be a valve cover. It could be a bad drain plug, or even a filter. Hopefully it's not the main seal. That would blow *****.
if you are leaking from the valve cover a quick fix that has help get by is tight up the bolts around the cover on my maxima and now on the gs,cause over time the gasket get thinner and that make the bolts come loose over time..
