I have the stock Pioneer sound system. Lately the display will go crazy - all kinds of letters, numbers and asian symbols flying all over the display. The sound works perfectly and you can change channels, etc. Then it will work perfectly. No rhyme nor reason.
Anyone ever run into this? Any ideas?
Thanks.

I have a used one from my car that I took out when I installed my in-dash nav/receiver. I'll see if it still works properly. If it does I'll sell it for $50+shipping.

This exact thing happened to mine the other day. The battery had a poor connection due to corrosion and it caused the stock Pioneer radio screen to look like asian writing. I've fixed the battery since but the radio never recovered. Note to anyone searching, it looks like low voltage can ruin the LCD.

Mine did the same thing. Is there a reset button for the radio?
