Hello, there!

I am wondering if anyone had a similar problem to mine.
My front passenger door lock does not work (either with a key or with using the door lock button). Manually flicking it open or closed works.

Probably, the actuator is broken.
I asked several Lexus dealerships about a replacement cost and was quoted 'around $600' with the part itself being 'almost $400'.
I was thinking of doing the replacement on my own.
Does anyone know the name of the part I need to order?
I looked on the carson toyota's site, but nothing says 'actuator' specifically.
The closest part is probably the lock assembly (#5 in the diagram below), but I am not 100% sure.

Does anyone know?
Any useful info is much appreciated.

There is a DIY on door lock actuator. Search for that and you will be able to get your door to work again. I just did my driver door last week and its working great. Let me know if you have any questions.

 

Yeah, DIY safe you hundreds of dollars. =] i did mines and it turn out working great as well.

 

do the DIY. fixed my first one years ago, and still works great.
