Question

futuregs - glad you're OK. Take his/her a$$ to court with the quickness and compound their problems if you can/any way you can. Best of luck.

I was thinking the same when I saw the thread title. So many CL members are involved in accidents lately Glad you're okay futuregs - I thought that was your car at first too - then I saw it sitting in the back.

How did the bastar... I mean driver of the Honda come out?

OK here is the sotry, I was driving back home fromt he movies around 2:00am. At 2:15 i saw a car going extremely fast in my lane behind. He had to be going about 60mph in a 30mph zone. As I saw him I moved to the left lane and let him pass, little did i see his car actually swerved and hit the inside curb cauing him to ricochet off the curb and clip the front end of my car. As I spun I hit a curb on the other side of the rode and the grass and curb saved me. WHen my car stopped I saw his car flip 3 times. I got out of the car (i was so pissed) and ran towards the car sxcreaming "What are you F****** stupid?" Then I see the driver crawl out of the car and start running!!! SO i chased him and caught up to him. I looked at him real close and he satrted yelling some **** in Spanish. I kept the anger inside because if i didn't he would've been ont he ground and he would not have gotten up. So i walked away and he RAN AWAY AGAIN along with everyone else who was in the car. SOmehow they all managed to survive but they all did look hurt, the cops caught 2 of the 4 guys, and I confirmed the driver early this morning (5am) at the police station.

So that is what hapened. By the way whoever suggested getting a bodykit and so forth, how do I go about doing that?

Hey, that sort of happend to my friend as well, he got hit and run by a drunk driver, he chased him in the car then called the cops from the car, next thing he knew, there was a cop so many lights ahead that blocked the road waiting for the drunk.

About getting a new kit, your bumbers will most likely need to be replaced, depending on the insurance company if they supply you the check and/or body shop your dealing with, if they are helpful. Have the shop order you a body kit instead of the OEM bumpers. Same with the rims, depending on how much your insurance pay for the damaged wheels, you can have the shop purchase other wheels for you.

that sucks, but at least your ok, and its their fault...... this is the 2nd car that I sold that had an accident shortly after! I sold my 1993 RX-7, which was flipped within a couple of months.... lost control on an on-ramp....

if you have damaged wheels you might be able to work something out with the insurance company, just have them cut you a check, and you can put the money towards new/different ones....

DAMN!!! Future, glad to hear your OK! That's some crazy shiat!!

Man, I would have grabbed the back of the driver's head and beaten it into the asphalt a few times...then if the cops ask (which they probably wouldn't) I'll tell the cops he fell running away...who are they going to believe? Someone who fled from the scene or the victim?

Well, too bad you didn't already have a body kit to install. You could of had the body shop use your body kit to fix your car and they would have probably done it for free and not charged you the deductable since they are going to charge the ins. company the cost of the front bumper anyways (which may be enough for your deductable), they could just keep that money....they need to paint anyways...so it's not even really ripping off the insurance company because they're not paying any more they would have anyhow...
