i was wondering did you have to trim/cut the cover your painted silver, so it can clear the projector?

Thanks for the link. I'll give that some consideration.

I'm not sure. I bought the projectors by themselves from another member. Is there a difference between the USDM and JDM projectors?

Yes, I did need to trim the reflector slightly to fit the Q45 projector.

I heard the Ebay ones are not HID, but then adding an HID kit would fix that wouldn't it?

Can you describe what quality differences you saw on the Ebay Q45 versus the actual Q45, in terms of materials, workmanship, fit and finish, etc?

Here's the rear cover we use for our retrofits...

The image below is from our recent FX-R bi-xenon retrofit...(that's what those 2 red wires are for in case you're wondering)

Damn...I want to do a project like this but I am afraid! lol

I like the chrome oem housing look and I would be VERY upset if I got glue on the housing/lens. How does one prevent this from happening?

You're doing a great job btw!

FX-R is a replica Infiniti FX bixenon projector. Replica meaning improved over the original. Much better, crystal clear lens.

Beam is not as wide as LS430 but very colorful & sharp. Just another option since LS430 projectors are getting harder to find at decent prices.

Pretty much up to personal preference.
