I bought mine in October of last year for $8400 with 107,000 miles on it. A lil more than i wanted to spend but I am really happy about it. new rotors and brakes(calipers were painted ). Got it from a original owner, she even had the paperwork and sales brochure from the dealer for the color combo, Silver with black interior. All history documented. Ultra clean! Never smoked in or had children in it so there are no lost Cheerios in the seat backs. No rips or fades. The owner's husband owned his own shop so all maintenance has been on time. The only bad thing is there are 2 super small dents on the passenger fender arch from parking lots and some fading on the roof paint (not bad at all you never notice either unless you were washing or waxing it). By far the best and cleanest car i have ever owned. I can not see selling it. Love everything about it and have been lurking on this site ever since.

I don't see too many youngsters driving them around here although i DO have a 22yr. old friend in a 06' GS350 but that's another story. This is my first "adult" car meaning no stupid mods or cheap aftermarket "upgrades".. I'm 32 and finally feel like i fit into a car. Soo glad i didn't buy that 240SX i was looking at previously. These cars are for grown folks.hahaha j/k

Exactly plus you cant get suspension for cheap or cheap rims, this is not a civic so yeah alot of people may have a gs but you can weed out the people that can mod them properly and the people that just lucked up on a deal. Your not gonna a whole bunch of people having the same looking gs unlike honda or mitsubishi.

but the fear is (which may be part of the topic) is that yup, wont be able to properly mod them thus having them buy some really caca rims and every available ebay mod you know, I mean look at how many have come on in the last couple months already asking for opinions on ebay junk or rather in general how many have asked about the cheap stuff (and no i'm not against ebay just the junk stuff) so in addition, I think I'd just rather keep the car un-bought than bought by those who will ebay the GS out cause for the most part, if a young person buys the car, its not just gonna be for plain driving, they ARE gonna want to mod and will get only what their weekly allowance can pay for

What you say is true but also remeber its not just the gs these young kids are getting, I have seen 2000-02 bmw 740-745i, 2000 m3, and some other luxury cars on autotrader and on the streets that were sold for dirt cheap maybe because of mileage but I have seen those cars all ghetto, cheap rims, garbage hood paint jobs and fart can exhausts. at least with the gs you can boost it make it look vip, sport, or stock with a littles touches here and there and stand out from the young crowd. But with any car your gonna have somebody rice it out or make it hood. LOL look at the dodge magnum and charger thats the ghetto ride for the new Millenium beating out the former title holder the chrysler 300 with the ghetto bentley grille.

Fart cans on a BMW?!!! WOW!

as for the 300, I Love when they are fixed up they are sick, but it got old like 2 months after it came out cause EVERYONE got them and EVERYONE fixed them up You cannot go through a day without seeing at least 5 of them fixed up and see at least 10+ stock... Thats one of the things I Love about the GS (around here at least) I RARELY see them on the streets. I'll see maybe 5-10 a week but for normal use, meaning older folx just using them to drive. As for fixed up GS's in my town of 500,000 I'm pretty sure there are maybe 4 or 5 total that have rims and maybe a grille and only 1 of them has a kit, rims, roof rim and drop. So its great being me However, its lonely down here no local enthusiasts....

I think GS300 is becoming more and more like Chrysler 300 and Chargers here.. Ghettod out with tacky 22's and cheap grills.. I work on a busy street and I see about 20 "fixed up" different 300 and chargers/magnums here daily... Only 1 I have seen so far here.. That is a black 300c with Nice 22" 5 spoke black Asantis with chrome lip and a nice bodykit. It has a bentley or mesh grill, but it looks luxurious.. All others look ghetto with boss rims or whatever..

i bought a few years ago now and the price has just SHRANK considerably. i have no intention of selling her but now im urging myself more and more to the LS community as i would hope it would be older more conscious minded people modding their cars. i stop answering some posts/topics as they been covered 100 times in the last months and some are just idiotic

sad to see where our group seems to be moving. and NO not all young people do it wrong but some of u should just keep your hondas.....

Come to south florida if you want to see the most ghetto azz magnums and chargers, the 300c i dont see as much now. The gs300's here are either ghetto or stock with rims or modified. So you'll never see alot of copycats.

i haven't been here that long but..Seriously has it gotten that bad? to the point that you would sell your car to be in a much "older, mature" car class? From the time i started looking for a 2GS i have seen some ugly mods or low budget add ons but then i purchased my car and joined this forum. I am in no way a youngster, well physically that is :P but i can not see getting rid of my car because other's choose to make their's half azzed. That is what separates the men from the boys. Keep working on your car until you lose passion for it and then find another one that sparks your interests.

I haven't really seen a lot of honda guys going to Lexus..i usually it's acura or infiniti IMO.

keep rollin' tuckin' and scrapin women love GS's..

Its funny you say that, I can bet half or more of the guys in here have either come from honda/acura/nissan type vehicles to the GS. We have a thread in here in regards to what your last car(s) were and pretty much everyone posted those cars and many still have them as DD's
