Default $7520.68 worth of damage, NOT TOTALED......WHAT???

So I was on my way to work the other morning, and it had snowed the night before. I was heading down the street at a pretty slow speed, until I hit teeny tiny "pot hole" (covered by snow) that made me slide.

Here's the damage:

Pix not working. These cars are hard to total for some weird reason. They're very hard to find at junkyards and such.

i think that they would total your car if the damage is 45% or above the value of the car.... Well i guess is better they didn't... just take the money fix your car and keep the difference.... MERRY X- MAS!!!!!!!!

Pothole huh? Perhaps go after the city for that one? Since they neglected to fix the road, that could have been avoided?

The guy said that some of the steering components were messed up, the door hinge, bumper support and the headlight assembly is crack etc...... Also and they got all the parts threw lexus which is expensive also.

HA! I live in Chicago, I wish they gave a damn.

I told Progressive that, but they said the estimated value of a '99 GS300 is $11,100 so it's not totaled. I was like "yeah okay, 11 g's". Plus they gave me some crap about how they want to be fair to other customers who's car they fixed and didn't replace so. As long as its fixed properly. Its at a body shop called Collision Car Center and they have good reviews.

I suggested that to Progressive and the won't replace the car. They only fix cars or total them according to my rep.
