Default heated seats?

how can i check to see if it works?? my lights on both switches are out and i turn on the driver side wait for a while(10mins^) and it doesn't get hot. on the other hand the passenger seat doesn't get hot nether. it just gets a little warm.. i checked the fuse under the passenger side of the dash and it was good. what else could it be, becuase it started snowing today and was really cold out..

they never get hot, but they do get warm and it is a noticeable difference. if your claiming you can't feel any difference on your drivers seat but can on the passenger side, then something is definitely screwy. why don't your lights work?

The amount of heat is directly related to the temp you have set on the HVAC. Crank it to 85 and flip the seats on then you will eb able to tell for sure which one is working and which isn't.

If one isn't working start by checking the switch connections

There is an extensive diagnostic procedure for the seat heater system in the repair manual for each Lexus model -- it's also on the subscription Lexus techinfo website. The diagnostic procedure mainly involves testing pins on seat heater connectors for continuity and resistance. There is no need to guess which component has gone bad.

It shouldn't take you 10 mins or figure if your seats warm or not. But seriously, maybe it doesn't work cause the lights not on.

its possible but its unlikely they ALL burned out but its possible

check out this DIY i made to replace them, i need to update it as i switched them over to LED'S as like 6 months after replacing them one of mine burned out again

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ator-bulb.html

now this wont help fix them not working but if your lights are burned out, while your working on this u can now fix them
