I just picked up a 98 gs300 for 3500 dollars i fixed the rear main seal leak and misc. problems it had, but my question now is as soon as i start the car up the radiator fan comes on is this normal? and if i put the car key in the on position without starting the car i can hear the radiator fan blowing still is this normal? the car doesn't overheat or anything.

 

previous owner must of had the fan rigged , keeps the car from over heating . check the fan relay

 

thanks man ill check the relay first so its not supposed to come on untill it reaches a certain temp

 

nope, unless you had the a/c on. then 1 of the fans comes on when the a/c is on
