Mine makes noise early in the morning. It sounds like something is trying to open and close. I rarely use my a/c or heater too.

I'm having the same tapping problem on the passenger side, but only every now and then. Only thing is I had an a/c issue before i started to hear the tapping. i have a 98 with oem navi, when i turn on the a/c i hear everything turn on, but no air comes out. When i change the air positions i hear servos working as they should but still nothing comes out. Could this be a servo problem too? Forgive me if I'm getting off subject, i'm fairly new to this.

No the blower doesn't work when i turn on the a/c. i connected a 12V battery directly to the blower and it works fine. All the controls work fine too, everything changes the way it's supposed to, but there's still no air. I was told by one guy i should replace the blower motor control. any other ideas?

break out the meter and see if your getting power to the blower. obviously somewhere your not if u can connect direct power to it and it works. time to start chasing wires.... i hate doing that

actually i did check that and i'm gettin the 12V to the blower but it still doesnt work, only when direct power is applied. a mechanic said it's probably just a button or a swtich. the dealership said it was the blower motor control or resistor. i'm not sure whicih one to replace, i'm thinkin to just replace them all.
