Have you done this mod or are you trolling/trying to raise your post count again? You've added nothing to this conversation (no surprise there).

The hole saws have a pilot drill but an easy approach prior to is to drill the pilot hole first. That way you insure you are in the right spot and the hole saw pilot bit will easily feed on that first hole.

A hole saw like this but this one is for a different material...just so you can see the pilot bit:
Looks like the hole saw I purchased but it did not have a drill in the middle. Back to home depot i go...

Really nice tig welds Vincent 123. I prefer to make it look more stock and subtle. Yours seems kind of high or does it need to be that high?

No it doesnt need to be made so high, but thats how the fabricator did it. The turnout looks good to me, so I'm not complaining

maybe i'm a dumbass.. but i work on cars for a living.. i used the pilot drill and jagged hole saw and that did not work out at all.. I have a snap-on drill and obviously did not work. ended up making a ugly *** rectangle cut with an electric cut off tool (all we had to use at home). so perhaps everyone is using an electric drill or air drill cause the battery gun don't cut it. whatever, no one is gonna see it. i'll eventually get it covered up too

Glad I found this thread. Will be doing this and fabbing a cover to make it look OEM soon. Capping th holes not only looks better, but reinforces the area you cut the material out of.
