Idle Noise - Help
Hello I have a 2001 GSLexus gs300 with 110,000 miles on it.
I recently changed the timing belt. Yes I also changed the water pump, timing belt tensioner and serpentine belt.
I was very careful with cam gear alignment. I mean I DID NOT get them out of alignment...all the white dots line up with the crankshaft at 0 degrees(TDC)
My question is that now it make noise( hummm) at idle(800RPM) BUT when I turn the stearing wheel a little bit then the noise goes away.
I believe it use to idle at 600PRM
Any thoughts.

Only two pulleys taken off during the process.
The power steering pulley and the Crankshaft.
Yes both are nice and tight.
It sound like it is coming from the power steering pump almost like a grinding humm.
