Who uses E-SHIFT?

I used it a few times when I bought the car. How often do you use it?

GCOP Jul 19, 2009 11:26 PM

Depends on where I'm driving of course. Late at bight when the traffic is light, there are some pretty good roads around here, I will put the car to task, different animal with the e-shift.

JeffTsai Jul 19, 2009 11:33 PM

Always when I drive. It's the only way I can take the car up to 8000rpm. If I just floor it in drive, the car shifts at around 7000-7200rpm or so.

wish i had it in my 01 gs430

handoverfi Jul 20, 2009 12:28 AM

i dont use it because i cant use it worth a F*@&#$K

RI-Lex Jul 20, 2009 01:54 AM

I barely use it, is like is not there to me.

Rick James Jul 20, 2009 04:47 AM

I mostly down shift to help slow down during spirited driving. or hold a gear in the winter time to slid around a corner.

joshoowa Jul 20, 2009 05:13 AM

I use it all the time... I actually think I use it too much cause man I dog the crap out of my car with it. With my stockies I would turn off vsc and downshift into turns to slide the back end out lol. 275s not enough pwr to break the tires.

I drive my car like I stole it.

GS300ToM Jul 20, 2009 08:47 AM

wats that???? lol

Sheehan1p Jul 20, 2009 09:01 AM

only when i really feel like going fast

TYPEII Jul 20, 2009 09:38 AM

I used it last night because some idiot in his Maxima thought his car was all that...

4ntvings Jul 20, 2009 10:12 AM

only when an a$$hole decides to cut me off or break so suddenly. other than that, not very often.

kowala Jul 20, 2009 10:19 AM

i used it a few times when i had just got the car but i stopped since i don't know when the car was last serviced, i waiting until i get a tranny flush and then i'll put it to work ;)

McKrevice Jul 20, 2009 10:35 AM

I don't use it ever. Pretty worthless if you ask me. I had an ES330 as a loaner when my timing belt was getting done. You start out in 1st instead of 2nd like on the GS, and it's on the shifter unlike the crappy steering wheel controls that are a pain to use if you're doing any sort of spirited driving. The ES is setup way better to simulate a manual. Steering wheels controls are weaksauce.
