Well, to redeem myself to some extent, like I said I have no hard feelings. Your response kinda got under my skin because that was the only code even after the replacement that the car would give us (me and my mechanic), giving me an indication that maybe there was a larger problem at hand. Trust me, I took your advice, which is why I got upset because you ridiculed me in assumption that I didn't. After driving and testing several times, we finally got the P0420 code and the P0161 code disappeared . In response to thanking people for help, I have actually thanked you for your help very recently. If you read my thread "Wrongs lights in the owners manual", you will see yours there in all its glory. by the way you were right about the difference between the 02 and 00 manual....

We all just need to state things "more" complete and clear.

enjoy the price tag on those cats......

must say I'm impressed that someone on a forum actually knows what they are talking about regarding driveability and proper ckt diag, Debonair, well done.

A shame that even when they ask for help that they don't listen...

I completely agree....cause all this is unnecessary over a misunderstanding. Come to find out the problem wasn't even the cat, it was another O2 sensor....replaced it myself and now the code is gone....maybe well get off on better feet next time, until then, you all be safe....
