door speaker problem

Default door speaker problem
ok. so i ordered some 4 inch infinity kappas for the ride and they dont mount up. theyre the right size but wrong shape? the speaker doesnt seal in the box the way the factory speaker does? does that make sense? if not ill post pics in a little while.

post pics... 4" is factory I thought, but there are oddball 4"ers I believe. You may have to Dremel out the opening a tad.

wait 4" speaker? the front and rear speakers on a gs is 6 1/2... Am I missing something here?

what year GS do you have? i have a 2000 with the pioneer system. its got 4 inch speakers

most aftermarket speakers wont be exactly the same shape as the OEM ones, you probably will have to get creative in order to make it fit right.

Ive got a 2000 as well and I have to agree with phable6, door speaker sizes are 6.5 front and rear

FACTORY gs speakers are 4"

i have all my door panels off my 2001 gs430 with ML and even on the ML they 4"
