i called the dealer today about the emblem under the hood, turns out you got to buy the entire cover. not sure its worth it.

Are we talking the brand new ES, or the last model ? And is it glued on the engine cover or does it have pegs on the back ?

Hey guys...

This emblem is not glued, there is a small bracket that it is attached to, but it can easily be removed... As evidenced by TIKTIK11 and probably will also be proven once SandRock test drives the Es.

LOL..... Now I am not suggesting you all go do this ok..... Next thing we will see on here is a bulletin from Lexus saying they are having a shortage of ES engine emblems....

As far as my webcam... well, I guess that is why I am still a rookie huh? It's all good though. The ES I saw yesterday that had the emblem was a 99, so I would venture to say that any Es 99 and up will have this.

Lexus dealers let you take test drives without a salesman by your side at all times?

Hmm, better check under the hood of my '02 ES and see if the emblem is still there.

Sorry dude, but I don't think they will go for that, but you never know. I took a 95 Legend out on my own a couple of years ago. All they asked for was a copy of my DL... Try it, you never know. You might save yourself about $50 bones....
