Default GS 300 with high miles???

Hi guys, im a newbie, and im in the market for a 99 GS 300. I am looking to spend around $21,000... i know that's gonna be hard to do, but i have already found a couple, they have pretty high mileage though, around 85,000 miles on both of them. How do these engines hold up with high mileage. Also, what are the navigation systems like on the 99's??? would it be worth it to spend the extra cash and get the navi??? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

thanks,

drew

no major problems just the noise that the tech at don valley said is probobly the valve adjustment.

what do you mean by this, is the noise very loud? Have you had any other major problems? Have you noticed a decrease in performance?

thanks,

its not that loud, many think its a normal engine noise but it quite clearly is not.

there was some decrease in performance fora bit then it fixed itself and its fine now and i'll keep you updated.. i dont think i was seeing the best of dealers though and we are in the process of switching.

I would not worry too much if, you know the car has had all it's regular service taken care of.

If treated well these cars will go several hundred thousand miles.

Good luck!
