Farewell Ladies and Gentlemen
Thanks for a great 2 years. I learned a hell of a lot from these forums and attribute my move from German to Japanese cars in part to them.
In the end I decided on the Acura TL SH-AWD. It was my 1st test drive and unexpectedly my best. Definitely the dark horse in my list of potentials. The SH-AWD which I thought was really a gimmick works as advertised and makes one hell of a difference in real world conditions.
AWD was a must, so I drove the IS 250 awd which was way too small and felt underpowered.
I still don't like the look of the new GS but I gave it a try. It was smoother then the TL, not significanlty faster, and had an equivalent interior. IMHO GS 350 awd was NOT worth the extra $8-10,000 over the TL.
The Infinity G37 was fun, but felt cramped and less refined compared to the TL. I never liked the M series saw didn't even drive it.
From the VAG world, the V6 A4 similarly equipped was $7000 more then the TL and didn't drive significantly better and the cabin was much too dour.
The Volkswagen CC VR6 4-motion was actually my favorite, but out of the 4 VWs I've owned, only one had no serious issues.
Funny thing, because when the TL 1st came out I couldn't stop laughing (as I did with the MDX). The look really grew on me (as did the MDX). Very muscular and some gorgeous lines. The grille that I planned to either paint or replace I really like. So here she is.

As for my GS, after stripping her of the LS430 retrofits, Yellow fogs, and LED tail lights, I traded her in.
