Default D2R bulbs question

Hi, i am looking to get 6000k D2R bulbs. the oem D2R bulbs have these anti glare black paint strips on the bulbs. but some aftermarket bulbs dont have them. would it affect the light output? does anyone have experience with these bulbs? thanx

I have 6k D2R's on mine, no paint, the output seemed a bit brighter than stock, but nothing insane, I do like the look, and the color tint seems to be a bit easier on my eyes.

For me i had changed my stock D2R with some after market 6000k, it didn't affect the light output either.

D2R are for reflector type HID housing. D2S are for projector type HID.
you can use either bulb for your OEM setup because they are D2 bulbs/socket/ballast.
putting D2S into reflector housing will cause more glare. Output will be the same just more glare on the sides.
