Will a 275/40/20 fit (stock height)
I will hopefully be picking up a 99 gs300 tomorrow and want to put 20's on it. I will not be lowering the car. I found a set but they have 275/40/20 tires on them. Will they fit they car with no issues?? I am not sure what the offset is, what does it need to be to make them work? Thanks

thats might be a lil too wide , mainly in the front, your gonna have rub issues , espec. when you back up with a turn, i have 245/35/20 it did it also , until i lowered it, no more rub, as wierd as that sounds? but slap it on see how you like it , although i can picture your car lookin like a 4x4 post pics when you get it

A 275 width is fine in the back assuming your offsets are reasonably conservative but those tires are way too tall. A 275/30/20 is the "fat" setup for a rear tire, that will throw your speedo off about 3-4%. That 275/40 is gonna be quite a bit taller. There's no way a 275 is fitting in the front. Also, I hate to tell you but AsGS300 is right, it's gonna look like a 4x4 on 20's and stock suspension.
With those tire sizes all around, the wheels almost had to have come off an SUV or truck I would think. Find out the widths and offsets and post them, there's a chance they'd work with different tires but I'm guessing you'd be better off looking for a different set of wheels.

your garden variety (LOL) 20s will usually have an offset somewhere in the mid 30's to 40s. Assuming the offset isn't lower than say, +30, you should be fine with a 275/40 on stock suspension. thats a bit tall, your speedo will likely be off, but it should fit without rubbing. I would not suggest anything bigger than a 245/35 on the front, and ideally a 275/30 on the rear, but that's only really critical when you're lowered.
