looks great, if you are going to lower it I would go straight to coilovers, you will really appreciate the height adjustability

I had the pleasure to see the car (Nigel even allowed me the pleasure of drivining it ) All all I can say is , it looked and felt great. Your GS is transforming very well my man. He has given me lots of ideas, being we have the same color GS.

very nice mod, It really gives the 98 GS's a much needed refresh look. I would also get the 01+ cluster and wood ashtray as well.
...much better than the $2000 the dealer quoted me for an 01+ wheel haha
I srsly thought the guy was joking when he gave me the price.

Has anyone tried the wood steering wheel minus airbag from JZS International?
I was told that it works with the 98+ GS's and im guessing it cheaper than the RX300 wheel plus you use your existing airbag

"You will be doing mods" Remember I said I would give it to my daughter when she got her license. Well she got it last month and I bought her a new beetle instead and kept the GS . This is all mine to play with. You know how that goes.

drum roll please...

he told me $5,500.00 so did Sewell, although they said a refurb was $3200.00. i was still waiting on either of them to be like "oops my mistake its $800.00 or something reasonable!

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Brian you are too funny and yes I am that old . The color match is closer than the picture indicates. Did you notice I already did the "L" centercap for the wheels. That was bugging the hell out of me so I am love that mod

Curtis you know I always run everything by you before I do it.

GS300Rich I think I will stay with shocks/springs for now and see what happens. I have no need for many adjustment points now but you never know.

burma I plan on getting the cluster upgrade also.

To all who want to do the steering wheel mod it's very easy there is a DIY for replacing the steering wheel in the DIY sticky. It took me about 30 minutes. Make sure you get a steering wheel puller from Advanced Auto Parts or other parts store. You can get them on loan and return it after. It makes it much easier.

Thanks agian.

You were my inspiration. When I saw this mod on your GS I knew it was something I would do. You listed it as your "favorite mod"

Thanks phillygs3

The use of the RX airbag was for the single stage airbag unit. The 98-00 GS use single stage airbag like the 01-03 RX so yes if you have a GS from those years you can use a 01-05 GS steering wheel with an 01 RX air bag. I just used the complete RX system because my GS did not come with tiptronics. There are quite a bit of threads about this topic. Do a search it will help. GL
