ok, now I'm a little confused. According to the 98-00 gs300 ecu pin out the IG power is E6-9, but according to the manual (T10c) it says it's at a differnt location E6-16 (on the gs300 pinout). So should I connect the IG power to E6-9 or E6-16? I attached the pictures. The second picture shows T10e but the IG power is in the same location as t10c.
Anyone? I just got done fitting the neo into the ashtray, yup it was a B@#$ to put in but it's decent. just waiting for some one to answer my last question
sorry for the dumb lame question. but what is this for exactly? are you guys boosted ?
Nah it's not a dumb lame question. The apexi afc/sfac II/Neo (3 differnt types) are air/fuel controllers from apexi. If you have a K&N intake with other mods i.e headers and so on...you are able to adjust the air/fuel mixture in your car, thus creating more hp and tq and also more gas efficient. Same thing as a SRT intake w/ the ECU chip/mod. But the SRT ECU that comes with the intake isn't adjustable so I would say a K&N intake and the apexi is more better down the line if you want to add other mods to your car you can just tune (dyno tune) your car accordingly.
Correct me if I'm wrong anyone...I believe you can use the apexi either boasted or not. But also a stand alone is better if your boasted...
There's been a few forums covering what the a/f is.
I pretty much left all the guess work out when I did this. I sent the instructions of the Apexi Neo and the pin-out sheets for my car to Boomslang.us; they made a custom plug 'n' play harness for me...idiot proof but it cost me $225 for the harness. . GL with your mods!
Yea it's pretty much a Piggy back just like SRT's piggy back with the intake. The only difference is SRT's isn't adjustable, I belive their's is set as an average in order for you not to get a CEL. While the Neo/sfac or other A/F controllers allow you to better fine tune the car on a dyno tune in order for you get get as much HP/TQ as you can depending on your set-up.
I've been searching around and was wondering will it be any benefit to get Torquemaster plugs installed and oil change before the tune? I've searched and found it once but now I can't find it Thanks
