Satellite radio question
Was factory installed satellite radio and option in 04?
My car has a Sirius satellite radio antenna on the trunk lid. The salesman thought it was connected to the back of the GPS?? Although it looks to be a clean install as the wire was ran with care int the trunk to the front. I have not traced the wire yet.
I didn't see any indication of a satellite button or a way to even get the serial number for activation. I am thinking I will hopefully find the end and it will need a tuner which works over the radio..
On an unrelated note.. I love this car! Coming from a 540i/6 so I miss the manual slightly and the stiffer suspension but other than that the interior is one of the finest I have been in.. and there is L-Tuned for a reason.

Thanks for your response related to my question..
I will look into the VIA stuff.. I really like the clean integration. Now that XM and Sirius are one entity I guess the point of which carrier is moot. I looked at GPS more closely and tried to change it from AM to AM1 or CD to CD1 Tape to tape1 in hopes of having something like VIA installed but no dice. Looks like I will have to trace the antenna to find out where it leads to.
