Default Question for gs300 matinence!!

hi guys.. i recently bought a 2001 gs300 and i was wondering how often do we have to change the timing belt and water pump?? is there anything else i need to change to keep my car running in good condition?

Get a copy of your owner's manual.


Log onto lexus.com owner's section, create an account and add your car. You'll be able to see as well the online manual as order a replacement copy of the owner's manual (free).

Timing belt is at 90K/72months. Water pump is not listed as something that needs to be changed. But many people do it anyway since it's right there during the timing belt job.

I have a 2000 GS4 with 38,000 on it....wonder if I should maybe have that done?

Double check your balljoints! If they show any signs of wear, replace them immediately, don't ignore them. Goodluck and welcome!
