I'm a fan of saturated colors like Spectra Blue and Cinnabar Red...
Silver, Black, White, etc... you guys are going to hate me for this,
but I see these colors on GSs every day and find them to be a
complete yawn unless you kit/slam/wheel/tire the car.
That's just me, never one to do what everyone else is doing.
Nor do I care what other people think I should do...

I have the cinnabar pearl, it is a very original colour. In the sunlight you can see the orange pearl in the paint giving it a copperish hue...hard to explain but those who have seen it know what I'm talking about. A cinnabar pearl car after a good wash and wax looks sick in my opinion.
I say cinnabar pearl, blue mica and black cherry in no particular order...those colours will make the car stand out.
Of course everyone loves their own colour and with a GS you can't go wrong either way.
