funny thing, i've never driven a 300, when looking for a GS I always consired the 4x0, love the power of v8's. but the 300 has endless modding options

I never actually drove a 300 either, I went to look at a couple but never got to the test-drive. Once I drove the 400 I knew I couldn't go with the 3. I've never modded an engine and have no intention of going FI so the 400 was the obvious choice.

i dont have HID's or Heated Seats, but i dont really need/want heated seats

i have a couple mods in mind...

Future mods:
-Tint
-Lower (Springs/Coilovers) I like the Daizen/L-Tunned Shocks Setup
-HID's
-Remove Rear Wing
-Yellow Fogs
-Spacers for stock 17's
-Chrome Door Handles

Nothing major til the weather warms up, then I'll probally look for a decent set of 19's and possibly a body kit, and maybe some jp tails and rear wing...i seen alot of nice cars on here so it shouldnt be hard to find what i like/want...

The preface for this threads a trip. cuz the 400 (which most chose) is the more powerful model and the 300 is the latter. Thats like sayin "Cat vs. Mouse or Bird vs. Worm or Mr' T vs. Urkle..." I don't really get it unless ppl just want to compare what one has and the other has not...= no brainer imo..

I have to agree with Neo on this one. The possibilites of the 2JZ is unlimitled! You could go NA-T or do a full TT swap...

The only reason i started this thread was cuz i thought there was a body difference in the 300vs400, cuz for some reason the 400 looked a little more wide body with stock 17's then the 300...but it seems my eyes were playin tricks on me lol... it wasnt about the engine differences, more so the body/lenght/width/weight...

I have never modded an engine before and there aren't any local tuning shops that can help me, so my will be giving up my GS300 in the future to get a GS430/400 cause I want more power!
