lex430,

So are you saying you can put Zaino polish on the Xpel sheet without any problems? That's what I read but just wanted to call it out to make sure.

I just had my car wax this past weekend and there's nothing wrong with it. Not sure what kind of wax they used but it's still good as new.

YES

10+ times now, I think i may have gone overboard with Zaino as i wash my car 2x/month, and i Z5/Z3 everytime i wash the car.

oh well.

genearch,

mind telling us what you use? I don't use Zaino either. I use some Japanese wax specialized for silver car.

Yeah, I wash every couple of weeks and have a Z5/Z2 routine and did not want to give that up. Thanks for the info.

RA,

For a quickie response, I think genearch mentioned in this thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...5&pagenumber=2

that he uses OneGrand...

I'll let him give you more details when he has time.

Do it. It's worth the $500. I have a similiar product that's black to match the black paint. It's also a 3M product. I forget exactly what I paid but it was somewhaere around the $500 for hood, bumper and mirrors. I'll try attaching a pic but I haven't done it for awhile. If it doesn't work just search on Griots and you'll find a pic of the front of my car under the thread about using Griots.

So far I've heard a lot positive than negative feedbacks on this product. It seems everybody is happy with the result and I will still be able to wax my car. I'll check out a few members' rides next weekend and decide. Thanks for your help, everyone.

I plan on getting X-pel applied soon after I get my front bumper repaired and re-painted next week. Sounds like it is great product.

I wanted to get xpel on my GS, but there are too many chips already. But this past weekend I had xpel installed on my girlfriends new LS 430 and the result was great. She has a silver LS, and from a distance, it is really hard to notice. However, I have one minor gripe. One area that is not protected by xpel are the front quarter panels. Judging from my GS, this area is prone to damage.

When I get my GS's hood and bumper repainted later this year, I will rush to get xpel installed. It's ridiculous how bad my bumper looks just 9 months after it was repainted.

My installers name is Bob Montgomery and he is a real top notch guy. He did a great job on the LS and a nice guy. I don't have his number handy, but if anyone is interested, just PM me. Total cost for everything (hood, bumper, side mirrors, and headlights) was $475. Bob is in the Orange County area.

Cool

I live on South Florida isn't it going to start to dull after a year? If scratched can it be buffed out? Does it need to be waxed or can it be waxed to match the rest of the car? Is there anybody good in Miami Florida to install Xpel? Just got the hood and bumper painted so want to protect it. I have a black GS430.

I'm planning to repaint my hood some rear bumper, and apply xpel right after before there is any more chip!
