What's the bolt pattern? It has to be 5x114.3.

bmw's use a 5x120 i believe. could also be 5x112. our cars are 5x114.3. the rims will not fit without an adapter.

BMW bolt pattern is 5 x 120. Since you don't want to redrill your wheels your gonna have to find adapters. It has been done. Don't be discouraged.

you can find adapters all over the internet. I'm pretty sure they're 5x120 wheels, so just find an adapter that will go from 5x114.3 to 5x120. Get an adapter that bolts to the hub, and has studs to bolt the wheel to, but don't forget hub rings!

they will act as a spacer due to the fundamental design, but that's not necessarily a bad thing unless they're already aggressive offsets. If you can post the width and offsets, as well as what/if you're dropped on, I can tell you better if you will have problems or not.

how wide the rims are....what the offset of the rims are (2 numbers following the letters ET on the inner rim)

what lowering products you have used on the car...

i tried to make it as simple as possible...as far as the adapters..

google, first result after searching "wheel adapters"

http://adaptitusa.com/index.asp?Page...ROD&ProdID=118

5x4.5 is 5x114.3 for reference...so for $90 you can use your rims.

ok, so then you aren't lowered.

you should see the size and offset on the inner rim somewhere in a format similar to this:

8.5Jx20 (or 20x8.5J) then ET XX (where XX is your offset).

considering the brand the offset will most likely be positive, if it was on a 5 series I'd have to guess between +30 and +45.

the adapter itself will act as a spacer, hub rings can be purchased from tirerack if necessary...IIRC the hub size for the GS is 60.61? So you just have to figure out the hub size for the BMW that the rims came off of and get the correct size...the guys at tirerack will be able to assist you there (they have their own forum on here).

BMW's use lower offset wheels than Lexus, so adding an adapter might push the offset too far out and fender mods might be required. Re-drilling the wheel is nothing uncommon. That's what I would do if adapters don't work, but before you go buying the adapters make sure it will work or you are just going to be wasting your money.

Thumbs down I would sell those wheels...

Imo, it seems like a lot of grief trying to put wheels on your car that are made for a bmw. Such as; hunting down spacers or finding a machine shop and getting them redrilled. And after all that, there's no guarantee of vibration or fitment problems in the future.

I would sell those wheels online on some Bmw forumn or Craigslist.com. (It's free too)

Then take that $$$ and get the right ones for your GS.

I've been in the wheel and tire business for awhile. I often hear stuff like this. Don't take it wrong... It's just my suggestion...

FYI, there is nothing wrong with redrilling wheels. However; since you feel this way and you are in the wheels business. Is it safe to say you have never and will never sell a set of universal fitment wheels?

OEM BMW wheels on a GS, I'm sure he did one or the other
