Default GS500

Yeah GS400_Pusher is right.
This photo has been showing up here
and there for some time now. I think
I've seen it like 3 or 4 times. I believe
the last time we saw and discussed it,
we came to the conclusion that it was
Photoshopped. Actually, Globe came to
the conclusion and no one disagreed.

I have not heard of a GS5 coming out and I work for Lexus as a sales and leasing consultant. I have heard of a new concept model coming out in the GS line. It will be the GS 450. We still have not received word on it yet. The GX470 will make it's debut in late December. As far as a GS5, I have no knoledge what so ever of this model. Sorry, Mike D.

SCWells72 is 100% right. 5.0 doesn't mean it's going to be a V10 or V12. Just because the Lexus engines are now V6 and V8 doesn't mean the next in sequence is going to be a V10 then V12. V10 and V12 Toyota engines are very, very, very highly unlikely for many, many reasons. Especially since you can EEEAAASILY stroke the 1UZ-FE/2UZ-FE to 5.0 liters without having to R&D a whole new engine for a couple hundred million dollars. And even if they did develop a brand new 5.0 liter engine, any smart mechanical engineer would naturally make it a V8. Probably 98% of the engines out there in the 5.0-6.0 liter range are V8s. There are even 7.4 liter V8s out there. V10 and V12 engines are hardpressed to make power any better than even a smaller V8. They are also very expensive (if you want a +$50k GS500, then it's a good idea). Most car manufacturers that use V10 and V12 engines do so for market appeal purposes only. I could go on, but I'll end by saying the day Toyota makes a 5.0 liter V12 for the GS500 is the day pigs fly.

Whatever it is, whether v8 or v12, a new gs should be alot faster and improved... It will be tight.
