Default Emissions Test

I know an emissions test will reject if you have a check engine light, but I have another question. I currently have VSC/VSC off/ABS off for a wheel sensor. Are these lights going to prevent me from going through emissions?

I doubt it. It's not emission related.

My state is playing games lol. I bought the car in February in NJ (had a 20 day temp plate). Got an emissions test in order to register the vehicle (out-of-state must have emissions before reg in CT). I transfered the Reg from my old Audi which expires 12/08. I get my renewal paper and it says my vehicle isn't emissions ready. So I send them the renewal money and a copy of the emissions test from when I got it registered. I got a paper back that said they cashed my check but the car needs to go through emissions. With the registration expiring 12/01/08, I'm in a tight gap to get this done. I just don't want to go there and fail a test for that and then have to wait to get into Lexus. If it's going to cause me to fail, I'm going to get my appointment now. That's why I ask.

If this error is from an ABS sensor, is the toyota dealership capable of doing that job? My Lexus dealer is 40-45 mins each way, but the Toyota dealer is a couple miles away. Let me know , thanks. I've seen Lexus in service at that dealer before when I went to go to their body shop for a quote for my friend's TC. So I suppose the question is, I know they work on Lexus, but will they handle an ABS sensor?

Changing out the ABS sensor isn't rocket science. If they can't do it then I dont know what good they're for. The sensor replacement is just like on any other toyota. If you buy used sensors, you can probably replace it yourself for A LOT less than what they'll charge you. Easily save $120 on labor.

To answer my own question (I'm In CT), it did not cause me to fail. Of course our ULEVs passed with flying colors... lol.
