I need the airbag door to swing open for a conversion. I took out the passenger airbag. But for some reason the airbag door will NOT open. I have tried hammering/kicking/punching/yelling/prying but it will not come open. Is there a trick to this or what?

 

would expect it to be screwed or held in from both ends and it would open only in the middle upon deployment. I will consult the factory manual and try to get back to you on sat with pics as to removal.

 

^ Thanks for the help. I looked at it and it needs to be cut from the vinyl. The factory vinyl is laid on top of it. I will post pics of how it turned out later.
