I Have A 2004 GS 300 with navi, but the touch screen dont work. so i was wondering if i can take out the navi and add a climate control from another 98-05 GS. Because the A/C is hooked up to the navi. so is it possible for me to take out the navi and use a regular A/C control from a 98-05 GS that doesnt have navi...




Also i wanted to know if the wiring harness is the same for the A/C....

 

please stop double posting the same questions. Someone hopefully will eventually get back to you who has relevant experience, but its possible they may not.

in my experience (non-lexus experience) you'll be better off finding another factory nav unit or an aftermarket one (i.e. pioneer AVIC-D series) as the wiring in nav equipped and non-nav equipped cars is very very different, even if they both pretty much contain the same parts (as the lexus does).

my only experience in this matter is from installing a navigation unit into a non-nav equipped ford edge, as well as the same unit being installed into my boss' 1000hp gt500 convertible (the nav wasnt available until the 08, and yes, i got to drive it. i think i still have a pic of it or two. it's scary )
